Protests in Gaza

These people are protesting because I think their family members are sentenced to death. I think they accused the government in Gaza of having unfairly prosecuted their loved ones:

 

Meanwhile, the government in Gaza was having a conference on whether the death penalty is fair or not (did I understand that right?)

I thought that in Gaza, no women appear in public life, so I was kind of surprised by these pictures of the government conference!

It's hard to see, but the row facing the camera is all women. There were more men than women in the room, but the women were upfront and center. They weren't penned away in a dark and dirty corner.
