Modern Day Slavery

A group in Australia released a report that suggests there are 30 million slaves in the world today. Just for your information, the BBC Arabic reported about this, and even did a discussion segment with experts about to what extent slavery exists in the Arab world. Unfortunately, I missed that segment, but I saw the general news clip. Here are the pictures:

 I think these men were rescued, found behind a locked door in a shed.

Some of the slaves end up in their position through child labor or through forced marriages.

 This statue commemorates slaves. 

I think this picture emerged during the rescue mission. The countries listed in the report as having the most slave are: Mauritania, Haiti, Pakistan, and India.
